Art and Entrepreneurship
Abi Ogle graduated from Covenant in 2018 as a double major in 2D and 3D Art. She is currently a full-time fibre and installation artist in Houston, TX and works remotely as the Onboarding and Training Assistant at CO.STARTERS, a company started in Chattanooga that equips individuals and communities to thrive through entrepreneurship.
"Pursuing a career as a full-time artist has been a lot of actively seeking to trust that the Lord will place me where I need to be, and He has been continuously faithful." Since May 2018, Abi has applied to and been awarded competitive fellowships at various artist residencies across the U.S. and France. Abi shared, "The process for being a part of these opportunities primarily includes research, rigorous grant writing, and collaborating with many incredible humans -- something that has humbled me and shown God's faithfulness over and over. Though there are countless noes in my life, God has continuously opened doors, placed generous people in my path, and given peace in ways that I never could have personally orchestrated."
Abi feels compelled to be a maker for the rest of her life. She is pursuing next steps by applying to graduate school and other artist opportunities both in the U.S. and internationally.
Thank you for your Kingdom work, Abi!
