1 semester of Old Testament and 1 semester of New Testament are required. |

At least one semester of computer programming is virtually a universal requirement
of all engineering programs. By taking COS 131 - Computing for Engineers, the student
will satisfy the Matlab requirement at Georgia Tech. |
[3] |
Approved social science electives include:
- ECO 202 - Principles of Microeconomics (4 hours)
- PSY 100 - General Psychology (4 hours)
- SOC 141 - Principles of Sociology (3 hours)
Dual Degree students planning on attending Georgia Tech should take ECO 202 to fulfill
a Georgia Tech requirement.

ENG 114 - Introduction to Literature Through Writing fulfills a requirement for English
Comp II at Georgia Tech. Taking this class at Covenant also fulfills the humanities
requirement for Covenant. |

Exemption exams are given at the beginning of each year. Therefore, it is possible
to be exempted from either 1 or both semesters. Many dual degree students opt to fulfill
the foreign language requirement over the summer or through a correspondence course
with another college or university. The requirement is that two consecutive courses
in a single language be taken. Either 3 or 4 credit hour courses are acceptable. |
[6] |
For dual degree students, the requirement of HIS 325 - Contemporary Global History
is fulfilled by taking either semester of U.S. history (HIS 111 or HIS 112). Either
of the U.S. history courses also fulfills a Georgia Tech requirement. |
[7] |
For those going into Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering, the Statics/Dynamics
sequence is recommended. Students going into other fields of Engineering should speak
to the Dual Degree Director, Dr. Stern, to see if other courses would be better suited. |
[8] |
Linear Algebra is needed so that the Calc II taken here is fully accepted at Georgia
Tech. If you don't take it at Covenant, you will have to take it at Tech. Linear is
also VERY helpful in all aspects of linear solution theory seen in engineering fields. |
|
A minimum of 100 credit hours must be completed at Covenant before transferring to
Georgia Tech or another approved institution. The remaining 2 credit hours of the
Capstone Project will be completed remotely after transferring. |
|
A minimum of 24 semester hours or 36 quarter hours must be completed at the approved
engineering school before graduating from Covenant. |
