Nathaniel's Story: A Cutting Edge Career in Cybersecurity

Nathaniel Henriques graduated from Covenant College in 2018 with a degree in computer science. Now, you can find Nathaniel working on cybersecurity as a technical analyst for Chick-Fil-A corporate by day, and studying for a masters degree in theology by night. Preparing highly skilled, competitive graduates with diverse side-interests and a life-long pursuit of learning is what we do best.

"I believe the cognitive skills I developed at Covenant are just as important as the specific technical skills. Although there are many very specialized courses I took at Covenant (e.g. Cryptography or Computer Organization) that I haven't yet used in my work, those classes challenged and sharpened my mind and honed my ability to solve complex problems."

"Additionally, my Biblical Studies & Theology classes sharpened my ability to think critically about complex issues, both conversationally and in writing - a valuable skill in the corporate setting. I find this field both spiritually edifying and intellectually fascinating; while I was at Covenant I took so many classes in that program that I almost double-majored. Currently, I am pursuing a master's degree at Reformed Theological Seminary on a part-time basis, and have thoroughly enjoyed studying under professors such as Sinclair Ferguson, Ligon Duncan, and Bill Davis. As I work through the program (as my time allows), I hope to use these skills in service to my local church."
